The following Suzuki teachers have expressed an interest in speaking to prospective parents and students. They are members of the North Texas Suzuki Association (NTSA). This list does not include all NTSA members.
While NTSA does not in any way regulate, endorse, certify or otherwise guarantee their credentials, teaching methods, policies or tuition fees, it does supply this page of its website as a service to them for solicitation of new students.
In the selection of a Suzuki teacher, we recommend observation of prospective teachers along with a review of that teacher's training and credentials. Charles Krigbaum; B.M., M.M. Accepts beginners ages 3-7, transfer students and Book 4+ by audition only. Charles is the Director of the North Texas School of Talent Education, a private Suzuki violin and viola program located in North Plano. Charles has completed hundreds of hours of extensive Suzuki teacher training, and has worked with many successful students and parents in our area for nearly a decade. The North Texas School of Talent Education offers weekly private lessons, twice monthly group lessons in cooperation with other outstanding local Suzuki programs, frequent informal concerts, and two formal solo recitals per year. Lea Marshall, BA Music Ed., full time symphony violinist for decades, orch. teacher 6 yrs., church pianist for decades, Suzuki training in Violin, books 1-8 as well as Violin teacher practicum, Piano - all books as well as Suzuki Early Childhood Education from Dorothy Jones, Early Childhood I Certification (MLT-based) from GIML and Music Learning Theory (MLT)-based Music Moves for Piano curriculum with Marilyn Lowe. She has also taken Barbara Rubenstein's music pre-reading and movement training as well as a Taubman Technique overview in ergonomics. Rigo Murillo; B.M., B.M.E., D.M. - Richardson, TX - Mr. Rigo Murillo is now accepting a limited number of dedicated prospective violin students ages 3 and up. Mr. Murillo is a professional violinist, teacher, and clinician with a wide variety of teaching and performing experience. The recipient of several performance and teaching awards, Mr. Murillo has been a dedicated Suzuki teacher for over eleven years, training and influencing many outstanding students in the North Texas area. Mr. Murillo is Vice-President of the North Texas Suzuki Association and a registered teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Mr. Rigo Murillo teaches at the Suzuki Institute of Dallas in Richardson, one of the finest, excellence-driven, music schools in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
